Thought I would buy this island and not the cheap Wally world ones. Reviews were good so I spent over $400 for this island. Came very well packaged and assembly was easy. However, I noticed alot of things that screamed out cheap during assembly. First off the granite top haa what appears to be buff marks that doesn’t come off. It’s not the coloring that they include a disclaimer for. Also noticed that some edges are missing stain as well as several scratches. The legs appear to have been made from scrap wood, unfinished and have knots. I included pics of each issue. During assembly I was able to hide some of it but will have to touch up spots with stain to make it look good. Not what I should be doing with this price tag, would’ve expected it with the Wally world special. That being said, I do like the appearance and seems to be very sturdy. But it seems like the product passes quality inspections there with a “if you won’t see it don’t worry about it” policy. And I did not expect to find that it was made in China! If it wouldn’t be such a hassle I would return it.Loved the style and function of this little cabinet, but not able to make it stable when assembeled.Like this cart. Goes with my new kitchen cabinets. I changed out the hardware to match. It is more of a creamy white than white white but it does not sit right next to my white cabinets. I was a little Leary about putting it together but this 71 yr old grandmother had no problem. Just followed the directions step by step. Not rock solid but it works.The island matched my kitchen very well. It is sturdy for the price.This is my first customer review after purchasing literally hundreds of items from Amazon. I'm reviewing both the product and more specifically the company that I chose to buy it from (Cymax). To sum it all up..WOW. I had read the reviews and expected a decent product and was not disappointed. The product picture showed legs on the piece although the description described it as portable. It arrived with lockable casters instead of the feet and I contacted the company. They, in turn, contacted the manufacturer and communicated with me too. Within ONE DAY I had the feet FEDEXed to me. The directions for assembly are clear and the pieces and parts are well marked. It was together in about an hour after I unboxed it. It is so carefully boxed that everything arrived in good condition and ready to go. It's the perfect small island for my smallish kitchen and will be a great interim place for putting things into and out of the refrigerator and into and out of the oven. Don't hesitate....great product and be sure to get it from Cymax!I bought this to match my larger kitchen island and am very happy with it. Came in perfect condition with nothing broken and no assembly parts missing. My husband got it put together in under 30 minutes. The measurements were exact and the shelf inside was nice and sturdy. I have been using it to store wine/beer glasses and a formal dinner set for a month now with no problems.It worked beautifully for my needs. I have a stainless microwave that is on top and the cabinets holds some of my smaller appliances like rice cooker, vases, etc. Pretty solid construction. We had remodeled our kitchen and I needed a spot for my microwave.This is such a nice quality piece of furniture! It was very well packed and came in 3 boxes. Putting it together was not an issue and it looks great. We are using it for a coffee station.
